Good Practice in Collecting and Using Ethnicity Data in Housing

It is forty years since the first recommendations for ethnic monitoring in housing were made, and there has subsequently been regular guidance. But evidence suggests that social housing providers are not making best use of their monitoring data to improve services for black and minority ethnic residents and tenants. This workshop will help you get the best out of your monitoring data, and encourage you to analyse and use it for maximum benefit.

Aims:

  • To summarise guidance and good practice on ethnic monitoring in housing
  • To share good practice in collecting monitoring data
  • To explore ways of effectively using monitoring data to improve services for black and minority ethnic residents

Facilitators: Adrian Jones, independent researcher/consultant; Ronny Flynn, Race Equality Foundation; Samantha Miller, Housing Diversity Network.
Delegates will receive copies of two papers: 'Monitoring the ethnicity in housing service users: forty years of progress?' by Adrian Jones and 'HDN Race and Faith Data Briefing' paper.
To book your place, download the flyer and booking form or email beth@housingdiversitynetwork.co.uk .
