Seminars Engaging with BME Communities – Practical Ideas for Housing Providers This seminar was hosted by the Race Equality Network in Leeds in July 2004 The aim of the seminar was to give housing providers practical ideas on how to improve their consultation with BME communities by showcasing examples of successful good practice from other organisations.

Consultants, Contractors and Race Equality – ‘Delivering the Goods’
This half day seminar was organised and hosted by the Race Equality Network in Leeds in June 2003. It aimed to address one of the areas in which the Network is frequently asked for advice, ie how procurement practices can be used to promote diversity. The seminar offered practical examples of initiatives to increase the use of BME contractors and consultants within the sector and how to monitor and support existing suppliers to improve their performance on race equality.
