Job Description
Come and make a difference at Karbon as a Supported Housing Assistant

We’re looking for a passionate and capable individual to join our Supported Housing Team (Leazes Homes) as a Supported Housing Assistant. In this role, you’ll help deliver high-quality housing services that make a real impact on our customers’ lives.

About the role
You’ll provide essential administrative support to the team — from maintaining accurate records and managing mail merges to processing invoices and handling related queries. You’ll also be a key point of contact for customer enquiries about our in-house services, including alarms, telecare, aids and adaptations, and wider organisational support.

Beyond the desk, you’ll support colleagues with home visits, cover during staff absences, carry out scheme and estate inspections, assist with anti-social behaviour cases, and take part in community events — helping us stay connected to the people we serve.

About you
You’re a strong communicator with excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage your workload effectively, even when working to tight deadlines. While you’ll be part of a supportive team, you’ll also need to work independently and be confident carrying out lone working in the community and in customers’ homes.

Experience in social housing, housing legislation, or welfare reform is a plus, but not essential. What matters most is your commitment to delivering great service and making a positive difference.

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work is essential.

Working With us
You’ll be part of our Supported Housing Services Team, led by the Team Manager Sarah Walker and Supported Housing Manager, Paul Wailes. If you’d like to know more about the role, feel free to reach out to Paul Wailes on paul.wailes@karbonhomes.co.uk
