Stockport Homes Group is seeking a dynamic Head of Assets to drive innovation, sustainability, and excellence across our housing portfolio. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to shape long-term investment strategies, enhance service delivery, and ensure our homes remain safe, efficient and fit for future.

As the Head of Assets, you will lead the strategic and operational delivery of our Asset Management, Environmental, Energy, Capital Investment, and Home Improvement Agency functions. You will be responsible for developing and implementing our 30-year Asset Management Strategy, overseeing multi-million-pound capital programmes, and ensuring effective procurement and billing of energy services across our corporate and housing portfolios.

You will act as the client for our repair service, managing associated budgets and providing strategic guidance to ensure excellent service delivery. Your role will also involve leading and inspiring a number of asset teams and working closely with a range of internal teams, the Council, and external partners to deliver innovative solutions and secure funding for investment programmes.

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

• Proven ambitious and effective team leadership in asset management within social housing.
• Strong knowledge of building construction, project management, and business planning in the housing sector.
• Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and delivering asset management strategies.
• A collaborative, forward-thinking approach to problem solving.
• A good understanding of Health and Safety legislation, particularly CDM 2015.
