Job Description

We’re looking for a driven, proactive and resilient Talent Partner to join our People Team at our Head Office in Islington.


£29,784.51 per annum, working 35 hours per week.

    As a Talent Partner you will provide proactive customer-focused administrative support across Recruitment, HR, and Learning & Development. You will drive process improvements and ensure efficient service delivery.


    The starting salary for this role is £29,784.51, increasing to £30,784.51 after successfully passing probation.


    The shift pattern for this role is Monday - Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm, including hybrid working with a minimum of two days in the office.


    This is a fixed term contract until 1st April 2026.


    What you’ll do:


    Recruitment & HR



  • Manage end-to-end recruitment campaigns, including advertising, candidate sourcing, and event participation
  • Attending job fairs, college or university recruitment events, careers talks and any other recruitment related events in person as needed
  • Act as first point of contact for recruitment and compliance queries
  • Process new starter documentation and payroll logs
  • Manage the pre-employment and cyclical processes including DBS checks, eligibility to work, declarations of interests, and other checks, escalating to the Recruitment Team Leader or Recruitment, Training and Talent Manager as necessary
  • Maintain HR systems and files by keeping them up to date and ensure compliance with GDPR and internal policies
  • Support on audits, CQC and Ofsted inspections
  • Support TUPE processes and HR documentation updates
  • Deliver recruitment training to managers
  • Encourage ownership to resolve issues at first contact by following clear, high-quality processes aligned with team KPIs
  • Foster continuous improvement to deliver faster, more efficient, customer-focused services

    Learning & Development



  • Schedule and manage training workshops and delegate communications
  • Liaise with and maintain relationships with external training providers
  • Process compliant professional development applications and book delegates onto qualification programmes (in-house programmes and apprenticeships)
  • Keep all training information and records updated across the business
  • Administer and monitor attendance
  • Lead on day-one induction in a rota with the team
  • Maintain and update tracking and monitoring spreadsheets on a regular basis
  • Manage training facilities, equipment and room configuration

    Student Placements



  • Respond to placement enquiries and process applications
  • Provide guidance to potential student placement volunteers
  • Maintain tracking systems and ensure vetting compliance
  • Keep the manager informed of placement progress on a monthly basis
  • When necessary, support with the vetting and onboarding for volunteers for services

    General



  • Maintain shared inboxes daily in line with SLAs
  • Support People Team projects or other requirements as needed
  • Promote diversity, inclusion, and Look Ahead’s employer brand in all work and conduct.
  • Ensure health and safety compliance
  • Liaise with key stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Proactively seek feedback from the business to continually improve the work of the People team and contribute to the development and implementation of the People strategy

    What you’ll bring:


    Essential:



  • Experience in recruitment or Learning and Development environments
  • Strong administrative and IT skills and experience
  • Confident in delivering training and attending recruitment events
  • Excellent communication and customer service

    Desirable:



  • Familiarity with iTrent and Learning Pool
