Job Description
We’re expanding our Property Services team and are looking for two skilled and reliable Multi-Skilled Plasterers to join Wythenshawe Community Housing Group (WCHG).

If you’re an experienced plasterer who takes pride in high-quality workmanship, enjoys working in occupied homes, and values excellent customer service, this is a great opportunity to be part of a team that makes a real difference to our customers every day.

About the Role

As a Multi-Skilled Plasterer, you’ll deliver a high-quality, responsive repairs and maintenance service across WCHG homes and sites. While plastering will be your core trade, you’ll also carry out a range of associated multi-skilled repairs to help keep our properties safe, well-maintained and fit for purpose.

You’ll work independently and alongside other trades, engaging positively with tenants, completing work right first time, and ensuring homes are left clean, safe and tidy.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Carrying out all aspects of plastering, including boarding, skimming, rendering and damp-related works
• Completing planned and reactive repairs in occupied homes and on construction sites
• Undertaking associated multi-skilled tasks such as minor joinery, tiling, blockwork and making good
• Using hand and powered tools, materials and equipment safely and effectively
• Loading, transporting and disposing of materials and waste
• Liaising directly with customers, explaining work clearly and providing a professional service
• Completing all required job documentation accurately
• Working to targets and agreed timescales
• Following all health & safety procedures and safe systems of work
• Participating in out-of-hours emergency cover when required

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Plastering
• Experience working in a building or construction environment
• Experience of housing maintenance and/or reactive repairs
• Strong technical knowledge of plastering methods, materials and safety procedures
• Ability to carry out multi-skilled maintenance tasks alongside core plastering work
• Proven customer-focused approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Full UK driving licence
• Willingness to work at height, in confined spaces and in varied conditions
• Flexibility to participate in emergency/out-of-hours work

Desirable:

• Experience working in social housing
• Willingness to undertake enhanced DBS checks
• Commitment to ongoing training and upskilling
