Come and make a difference at Karbon as a Multi Trade Operative (Joiner / Plumber / Plasterer)

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Multi Trade Operative to join our Property Services Team, working across our Responsive Repairs and Empty Homes Maintenance service. You’ll play a key role in getting our homes in North Yorkshire – particularly around the Leeds area – ready for customers and ensuring they’re safe, secure, and finished to a high standard.

About The Role

In this varied role, you’ll use your multi‑trade expertise to deliver a wide range of repairs and improvement works in both occupied and empty homes. From minor repairs to major component installations, you’ll help us provide a high‑quality service that puts our customers first and supports continuous improvement across the team.

About You

You’ll bring proven experience in two or more core trades – such as joinery, plumbing or plastering – backed by a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent experience. You take pride in doing the job well and have the technical skills and confidence to complete all aspects of multi‑trade work to a professional standard.

You’ll have:

• Strong practical skills across at least two trades
  
• A solid understanding of health and safety
  
• Great customer service skills, with a friendly and respectful approach
  
• A full UK driving licence

Working With Us
You’ll be part of our KPS 54North Homes Responsive Repairs and Empty Homes Team. 54North Homes is part of the Karbon Group, this team delivers services to their customers and properties on behalf of Karbon. Applications are welcomed from those based across Yorkshire and Teesside. Our properties are predominantly located throughout North Yorkshire, particularly near to areas around Leeds and York.

• Multi Trade Operative – Permanent contract
  
• Salary is £35,833 per annum (pending pay review)
  
• Location: Leeds
  
• 37 Hours per week
  
• Working Patterns are 9am-5pm
  

The successful applicant will be required to work throughout the North Yorkshire, particularly near to areas around Leeds and York
Company van provided
The successful applicant will be required to participate in delivering our out of hours service (additional payments will apply).
There may be an opportunity to earn additional money through overtime.
