About the Role:


As a Floating Support Advisor, you’ll deliver high-quality, person-centred support to vulnerable people, helping them to build independence and sustain their tenancies.


Working across Merseyside, you’ll assess customer needs, develop tailored support plans, and work closely with partner agencies to ensure customers can access the right services at the right time.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Managing referrals, completing assessments, and signing up new clients
  • Developing and delivering individual support plans tailored to customer needs
  • Supporting customers to build independence and reduce reliance on services
  • Working in partnership with external agencies to improve outcomes and prevent homelessness
  • Reviewing support plans and ensuring services meet customer and stakeholder expectations
  • Maintaining accurate records and managing case documentation
  • Contributing to service development, improvement activity, and raising the profile of the service
  • Acting as a key point of contact for colleagues regarding external support services

    What You’ll Bring


    You’ll bring experience of supporting vulnerable individuals, along with a proactive and compassionate approach to helping customers achieve positive outcomes.


    Essential:


  • Experience within supported housing or a similar support-based environment
  • Experience working in partnership with external agencies
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and produce clear written documentation
  • Good IT skills and confidence using systems
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

    Desirable:


  • NVQ Level 2–4 in Social Care or relevant qualification
  • Experience supporting individuals to develop independence and move away from dependency
  • Experience of working with performance data or producing reports

    You’ll also demonstrate high levels of integrity, accountability, and a commitment to delivering excellent services for customers.


    What you’ll get in return:


    This is a permanent role working 35 hours per week. You will be working across various locations in Merseyside.


    You’ll be generously rewarded with a competitive salary and a great benefits package, including 35 days’ annual leave, plus bank holidays. This includes a 3-day Christmas closedown between Christmas and New Year and you have the option to buy up to 5 extra days annually.
