Meet our Board

Our Board sets the broad strategic framework for the HDN, providing insight and advice on priorities and assuring itself on progress in delivering the strategy. In doing so, the Board monitors and reviews all identified risks and tests the assumptions presented.

Passionate about diversity and champion “inclusivity” in the sectors which he works, Debansu is presently working for Caledonian Modular as Residential Sector Lead and a Board member of CIH (London region), as well as an active committee member of CIMCIG.


DEBANSU DAS , Chair

Andy is currently working for Riverside Housing Association as Head of Shared Services and a Fellow of the Institute of Housing as well as, co-creator and co-author of the Real-Life Reform campaign reports. Passionate about housing, diversity and developing talent.


ANDY WILLIAMS, Vice Chair

Susmita is Chief Executive of Tower Hamlets Homes and has over 30 years of delivering social housing services working at various roles, initially starting as a repairs clerk and rising to the ranks to senior management and CEO.

 


SUSMITA SEN

Jon is the Group Head of Diversity and Inclusion at Places for People. He is instrumental in promoting equality and diversity to achieve continual improvement in a changing customer market. Jon works passionately to promote a culture of professional accountability for delivering positive outcomes for people. 


JON PRASHAR

Sonya is an independent consultant providing a range of management and design services. Sonya has over 18 years experience delivering a range of roles in the affordable housing sector and has volunteered as a Mentor on HDN’s mentoring programmes.


SONYA ANTONIOU-PAMMENT

Lee is the Chief Executive at Manningham Housing Association in Bradford. He has over 20 years of working in social housing at a senior level. His previous roles have been Area Housing Manager in Moss Side, Manchester and Head of Neighbourhood Housing in East Manchester during the regeneration through New Deal for Communities programme.


LEE BLOOMFIELD

Having started in public practice in New Zealand, Javin has had over four years of audit and business advisory experience. Javin moved to the UK in 2013 and joined one of London’s leading Registered Providers. He has a wealth of experience in public, private and voluntary sectors and is currently Assistant Director of Finance at Poplar HARCA.


JAVIN SOLANKI

Hugh is Director of Policy and Communication at Riverside Housing Group and has over 25 years of experience in the social housing sector, performing a variety of roles from regeneration, to operational management and strategy. For the past 16 years Hugh has operated at director level working with a range of boards.


HUGH OWEN

Derek has worked in social housing for many years, most recently at Leeds and Yorkshire HA, but also at Harrow Council in London and Places for People in several national roles. Derek has a passion for customer service and equality. He is delighted to have joined the HDN Board and will work closely with the Board and Executive Team with the aim of taking HDN to the next level of service delivery and impact.


DEREK STEWART

Alex is an MCIPD & LLM qualified Head of HR with a track record of developing HR strategies to facilitate the achievement of strategic objectives within large organisations. Her current role is Head of People & Business Support at Lewisham Homes and is a mentor on HDN’s Mentoring programme.
