We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced individual for the role of Financial Wellbeing Advisor in the Money Matters Team. The Money Matters team works with our customers to maximise income and reduce expenditure, through expert benefits and money advice.

About the role
This is a full time, permanent role, working within a large and busy advice service. The successful candidate will provide accurate advice needs assessments for customers, providing one off advice where able and triaging more complex advice needs for referrals to caseworkers within the team. The role is varied and includes completing benefit checks, financial wellbeing advice, support in a crisis, applications for discretionary awards and other advice work.

About you
You will be able to demonstrate experience of providing welfare benefits advice, assessing entitlement to means tested and non-means tested benefits and providing telephone assistance to claim where necessary. You’ll also be able to demonstrate experience of money guidance, working through personal budgets to identify savings and identifying the need for specialist advice. You’ll be professional, engaging, non-judgmental and dedicated to helping others and to your own learning and development.

  • Financial Wellbeing Advisor – permanent role
  • Salary is £27,162 per annum (pending pay review)
  • Location: Flexible depending on candidate
  • Regular travel will be required
  • 37 hours per week with some homeworking available/flexible working
