We are looking for a person-centered Relief Support Worker (Waking Nights) to join our Supported Housing Service, Wenham View.


A typical night shift at Wenham View is from 9:45pm – 7:15am.

During your shift your main duties will include:

  • Being the main point of contact for our customers, visitors and other parties throughout the night.
  • Ensuring the building is secure through regular monitoring of doors and windows.
  • Undertaking specified cleaning duties.
  • Providing support and peace of mind to tenants who require contact during the night and keeping record of these interactions (No personal care required)
  • Support a person-centered approach, respecting the individuality and dignity of each tenant.

    About you

    The post requires someone who can use their initiative and work independently.

    In addition, candidates need to be approachable, calm and have understanding, kindness, integrity, and an interest in helping people to be safe, healthy and achieve a good quality of life.

    You will be warm and friendly and have a natural caring nature, great sense of humour and a positive energy that brings a smile to people’s faces.

    Wenham View is located in the quiet town of Capel St Mary. There are lots of local amenities close by and the service is not far from both Ipswich and Colchester.

    Wenham was built by Orwell in 2011 and consists of 19 two-bedroom apartments over two floors and 13 two-bedroom bungalows.  The scheme is a bright, spacious and modern building with great communal facilities for the residents.

    Please note: Due to the nature of the service and the shifts required to be covered, a full UK driving licence is recommended. Limited public transport access.
