We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced individual for the role of New Homes Technical Lead in the Development Delivery Team.

The role will cover the North East and North Yorkshire.

Our Development Delivery Team, with the backing of a Strategic Partnership relationship with Homes England are responsible for securing land and delivering an ambitious programme of high quality, multi-tenure, new build homes across both rural and urban locations in the North of England.

This role will support further growth in new homes across our geography, helping to deliver high quality new affordable homes to the market.

About the role
This role will be instrumental in leading on the delivery of high-quality technical advice on new homes design, specification, building safety and performance, plus associated documentation. You will work collaboratively with the Construction Delivery, Development Services and New Business Teams to deliver a seamless high-quality development service for the business, customers, development partners and key stakeholders.​

​You will keep up to date on assessing the implications for Karbon of changes to legislative and regulatory requirements relating to new homes design, construction, and CDM compliance, producing technical procedural guidance and training programs for New Business and Delivery Teams.

​​Our agile working approach means you’ll have the ability to work across development sites with both office and home / remote working available, enabling you to have the flexibility of a working pattern that balances the business, team, customer and your needs.

About you
We are looking for a motivated and experienced individual, capable of being able to provide technical support to a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

You will have proven experience of residential development across various types including newbuild housing, apartments, extra-care and supported housing.

You'll have a strong record of demonstrable achievement in technical design management and coordination in an organisation of comparable size and complexity to Karbon Homes, in the delivery of substantial development construction programmes including experience of Homes England funded development programmes.

  • New Homes Technical Lead – Permanent role
  • Salary is £59,013 per annum
  • Karbon car payment of £2260.59 per annum
  • Location: Offices based in York, Stanley or Newcastle
  • Regular travel will be required across Yorkshire and the Northeast to both construction sites and Karbon offices
  • 37 Hours per week with some homeworking available / flexible working
