We’re looking to appoint a suitably experienced individual for the part time job share role of Housing Officer in Area 1 Team, based in Morpeth. The team look after our general needs housing in the East of Northumberland covering from Berwick to the Newcastle Border.
This is a Part time position covering Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday am.
About The Role
You’ll wow us with your enthusiasm and demonstrate that you have the ability, attitude and interpersonal skills to build strong and effective relationships with customers and colleagues and support the work of Karbon in our communities.
The Housing Officer role involves visiting tenants, customer contact visits, low level Anti-social behaviour, Estate Inspections & Allocations.
It goes without saying that you will have good organisation, time management and ICT skills. But most importantly you will be great with people.
About You
You should have excellent communication skills and the ability to plan and prioritise your own workload often working to targets and tight deadlines. You will be part of a team but the role does require the ability to work on your own initiative and carry out lone working in the community and in tenant’s homes. Previous knowledge and experience within a social housing environment, housing legislation and knowledge of welfare reform changes would be an advantage.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential.
