Come and make a difference at Karbon as a General Construction Operative

We are looking to appoint 4 suitably qualified and experienced individuals to the role of General Construction Operatives to join and enhance our successful and growing Property Services Team working in our Responsive Repairs and Empty homes Maintenance team to work in our properties throughout North Yorkshire, particularly near to areas around Leeds and York.

About the role
We are looking for operatives to join the North team to assist Karbon Homes in delivering an excellent repairs and maintenance service that promotes a culture of customer first and continuous improvement.

You will provide the highest possible standard of repairs, maintenance, and installation works. Undertaking all aspects of general repairs and maintenance activity, using a multi – skilled whole job repair approach. This can include clearing and cleaning empty properties and assisting trade colleagues to complete repairs in empty and occupied properties.

About you
You should have experience in relevant role (refer to person specification) and also have experience and practical knowledge to successfully undertake all aspects of the role to a high standard in occupied and void, domestic and non-domestic premises.

Customer service skills are essential for this role as is an excellent knowledge of health and safety.

A full UK driving licence is essential.

This vacancy sits within our KPS 54North Homes Responsive Repairs and Empty Homes Team. 54North Homes is part of the Karbon Group, and this team will deliver services to their customers and properties on behalf of Karbon. Applications are welcomed from those based across Yorkshire and Teesside. Our properties are predominantly located throughout North Yorkshire, particularly near to areas around Leeds and York.

General Operative – Permanent contract

Salary is £ £26,571 per annum

Location: Leeds/York – this will be agreed with the successful candidate prior to their start date.

37 hours per week

Working pattern is Monday to Thursday 8am-4pm and Friday 8am-3.30pm

The successful applicant will be required to work throughout the North Yorkshire, particularly near to areas around Leeds and York

Company van provided

There may be an opportunity to earn additional money through overtime.
