This is an introductory workshop to ensure participants understand the principles of equality, diversity and inclusion – building on any existing training to explore additional concepts that are relevant to the workplace and how participants carry out their day-to-day roles.
Some of the activities/resources that may be used include breakout discussions in small groups using the Gardenswartz & Rowe ‘Four Layers of Diversity’ wheel, videos such as the ‘privilege race’ and ‘microaggressions are like mosquito bites’, breakout discussions on the topic of being included/excluded, short excerpts from selected TED talks, etc.
