Multi Skilled Operative (Planned)

Based in Norwich, but travel throughout Norfolk and North Suffolk required

Full time, 40 hours a week, Monday – Friday

Starting Salary at £33,981 per annum, with future progression opportunities to £36,051, depending on skills and experience, plus company vehicle and additional earning opportunities through call out.

About the role

We are recruiting for a Multi Skilled Operative to join our Planned Team. The role will work to help deliver our planned works programme, including Kitchen and Bathroom replacements, as well as aids and adaptations. Ensuring that works are carried out in a timely and efficient manner whilst providing a high standard of work to our properties.

Some of the main duties of the role will include:

  • Complete allocated works which will fall within operative’s trade/skill set but could range from carpentry, plumbing, groundworks, painting/decorating, external works, tiling, plastering etc

  • To carry out Aids & Adaption works and assist with other roles within the Planned team.

  • To support, when required with the with responsive repairs and maintenance works within in Empty Homes and occupied properties.

  • To help us provide an excellent service to our tenants, minimising call backs and maximising first time fixes.

About You

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Minimum of either full trade Apprenticeship or NVQ level two or appropriate trade experience within at least 2 different trades

  • Full UK Driving Licence as travel throughout Norfolk and North Suffolk is required.

  • Property Maintenance experience – ideally residential properties

  • Basic/Good literacy skills to provide accurate notes on the system and to communicate digitally with colleagues.

  • A positive can-do attitude and the ability to work independently and problem solve

The successful candidate will be required to undertake a basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and will join our on-call rota.
