Job Description

Lincolnshire Housing Partnership (LHP) is an organisation with huge potential. They are built on strong foundations and can positively impact the lives of thousands of people every day.

They can only deliver this if they prepare LHP for the future and make sure they have the relationships and business knowhow to meet the challenges and deliver on the opportunities currently being presented to the social housing sector.

Their commitment to their customers is unwavering— placing them at the heart of everything they do, ensuring that their voices shape their services.

We’re looking for a new Executive Director of Property to be part of this journey.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our existing portfolio of 12,000 homes are safe, decent, and well-maintained while driving growth through strategic partnerships and developments. You will also champion the implementation of sustainability principles, contributing to our mission of delivering high-quality, sustainable housing and vibrant communities.

Key Responsibilities Include:
Asset Management:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement asset management strategies to ensure the sustainability, efficiency, and performance of LHP’s housing portfolio. Oversee property maintenance, budget management, and the integration of innovative technologies to enhance service delivery.

Development:

  • Growth and Development: Lead the planning and execution of development projects, ensuring alignment with LHP’s strategic goals. Oversee stakeholder collaboration, funding acquisition, and project delivery to expand LHP’s housing portfolio effectively.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all properties meet health, safety, and regulatory standards. Oversee audits, manage compliance policies, and lead incident investigations to maintain a safe environment for residents and staff.

Sustainability:

  • Sustainability Initiatives: Integrate eco-friendly practices into property management and development. Lead projects that reduce LHP’s carbon footprint, secure funding for sustainability initiatives, and contribute to LHP’s environmental goals.

Leadership and Culture:

  • Team Leadership: Foster a high-performance, customer-centric culture within the Property directorate. Provide collective leadership on the Executive team, drive business change initiatives, and represent LHP externally to enhance the organisation’s reputation.

Facilities Management:

  • Operational Oversight: Manage the operational effectiveness of LHP’s offices, ensuring they are safe, compliant, and supportive of a productive work environment.

About You:
We want to build a senior team ready to lead people through change and demonstrate the behaviours and values that make social housing such a rewarding sector to work in. So, we are looking someone who will exemplify openness, visibility and collaboration, with a focus on coaching and developing your team and others in our organisation.

You will be a strategic, commercially-astute leader with a proven track record in asset management and property services at a senior level. You will have substantial experience managing large budgets for service and capital investment and a strong ability to build and sustain effective external partnerships.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant professional qualification in property, surveying, development, etc.

  • Membership of a recognised relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is desirable.
