Riverside have a new opportunity for a Support Worker, working part time on a permanent basis. You will earn £21,451.00 pro rata. You will be required to work 18.75 hours per week on a 7 day rota including evenings and weekends. Who you’ll be helping Victoria House is a service providing accommodation for people fleeing domestic abuse and supporting them to move on to an abuse free life. With safe, secure housing within Victoria House and in disoersed location, we support and empower men, women and children at risk of domestic abuse. We are an open, caring environment where each person requiring support can stay until alternative, safe and secure accommodation is found that meets their needs. As a trusted member of our team, you will deliver range of personalised support to customers, working with individuals and empowering them to achieve their goals and aspirations. Day to day Your key responsibilities as a Victoria House Support Worker will include: • Deliver a flexible and asset-based support approach, reflective of different customer needs. • Adopt a psychologically informed approach to delivering support, empowering customers to have choice and control and to drive the support they receive. • Engage customers to meet agreed actions by promoting empowerment, independence and delivering appropriate support interventions. • Involve customers, and where appropriate key stakeholders (e.g. family/other support providers) in the planning and review of support provision. • Conduct regular planned reviews of support and risk, or following an incident/significant change in a customer’s circumstances to ensure the support plan and risk assessments remain relevant.
