Eden Housing Association has a proud and longstanding reputation as a community rooted social housing landlord, delivering tenant focused services. We work across the Eden Valley in North Cumbria where we own and manage around 2,000 homes.

We're passionately committed to our vision “To be a leading not-for-profit housing association providing places where tenants can live safely and well in good homes across rural Cumbria.”

 We are looking to appoint committed and enthusiastic Board Members to help assist with ensuring that our strategic objectives are delivered. 

Working with local stakeholders and our partners, EHA has a proven track record for high tenant satisfaction. You will join a team working to modernise our social business and maximise investment and outcomes for tenants. If you share our passion about contributing to an organisation that combines a strong sense of social purpose with robust business thinking, then we would love to hear from you.

Candidates who understand good governance and the challenges associated with providing affordable housing in rural locations across Cumbria is key. At the same time, it would be advantageous to attract candidates with skills and strategic experience in one or more of the following areas:

 

• Technology and Data


• Property Development

 

As a Board Member, you would be required to attend and participate in six Board meetings, three Committee meetings and a Strategy Day.  We do operate in a hybrid way which allows meetings to be held either on line and/or in person as and when required. Full training and support will be provided in your new role.  The role is remunerated with further details in the Recruitment Pack, and all reasonable expenses will be covered.
