Understanding Islam & Muslim Culture

This CPD accredited cultural competency & Islamophobia awareness workshop will enable participants to gain a good grounding in the Islamic faith and Muslim cultural and traditional practices. Specifically, the workshop will cover the relevance within both the workplace and the home, to better equip those working in housing organisations to practice and promote inclusion (of both their colleagues and customers), and challenge Islamophobia when they come across it.

The workshop offers an exploratory learning space where a questioning approach is encouraged. Training materials* will also be provided for participants to refer back to.

Duration: approximately 4.5 hours
Group size: up to 20
Delivery: online or on-site, with an option to extend the session to include a visit to a local Mosque, with lunch, where possible.
